The original version of Kurodust’s first album debuted at Jay’s 25th birthday party to much acclaim. Written, recorded, produced and distributed in less than 8 weeks, it contained 3 tracks written by Kurodust in the infamous container in Jay’s backyard.

In 2008 it was decided that prior to the launch of their first full-length album, Kurodust would remaster their initial release and bring it as close as possible to their now higher production expectations. This was made difficult due to the original unmixed recordings being lost to the black hole of computer upgrades and hard drive failures, but Rob slaved over a hot computer for weeks and achieved: ReInitialise.
